How we work with People
MAST is a Creative Hub working with artists, communities and companies in a variety of ways.
Our SHOUT season gives a high-profile platform to traditionally underrepresented voices in the industry. Through this work we challenge stereotypes and make our spaces your spaces, meaningfully engaging with the stories of our community.
We support artists living, making work, or with a connection to Southampton and Hampshire.
We work with the best touring companies and local artists to present a vibrant, high-quality artistic programme, alongside our own MAST productions and co-productions. To find out more about being programmed at MAST, click here.
We collaborate with local creative organisations to create opportunities for local people. To find out more about our Resident Companies click here.
We work with leading national companies to connect our audiences with exciting and innovative arts practice. To find out more about our Associate Artists and Companies click here.
We create inspiring projects we want everyone to be involved in. To find out more about our participatory opportunities click here.
It has always been MAST’s ambition that we will reflect our community organisationally and artistically, be recognised for championing voices less heard across all aspects of our work and that we will remove barriers to accessing culture.
While these barriers can be numerous, understanding how our venue and activity is suited to you and your needs, whatever they may be, is key. We work hard to be leaders in our approach to accessibility.
