Swings and Roundabouts
A brand-new comedy musical that celebrates the highs, lows and dizzying delights of parenting. With original songs, a healthy dose of myth-busting, a heap of laughs and some much needed solidarity, this show is for the grown-ups, but please feel free to bring your baby aged 0 -12 months.
Mad For Our Daughters
A dreamy fusion of storytelling and original folk songs written by Anna Soden, with music by Harriet Forgan.
Grace is Rose's mum. Rose is Grace's daughter.
These two women’s stories run parallel to each other, as we hear them experience pregnancy in very different ways. Funny, messy and moving. Let's be mad for our daughters.
Taking Flight presents 'What's Best For Jada' by Alex Blanc
Red Dragonfly Productions is proud to present the rehearsed reading of 'Taking Flight Festival New Writing Competition's Winning play.'
Jada's parents are no longer together. She plays legos with her dad Richard, as he and his new partner Claire shower her with horse-riding lessons and days out in Chessington. Jada's mum Marie disapproves from a distance. Whilst Richard rejects his Chinese upbringing, Marie embraces it providing what she believes is important, money for Jada's education, healthcare and upkeep. Parenting isn't easy, co-parenting is even harder - but they know what's best for Jada and everything they do is for her - or is it?
Supported by funding from Arts Council England.
Come one, come all to an hour jam packed with off-the-wall comedy. “And Now…” will keep you on your toes, the edge of your seat and the sillier side of your imagination. Following on from their sell-out musical “Big Mouse Strikes Again”, Thrown Together Theatre is coming to MAST with an unrelenting barrage of quickfire skits and musical rib ticklers.
Polly Gone Wrong
Mostly a Capella with the odd bit of added clog, two Kate's and a Polly will fill your ears with an eclectic musical menagerie - intricate vocal harmonies, textured layers and improvisation.
Residing in traditional gypsy waggons on a semi ancient woodland project near Eastleigh, Polly Gone Wrong are delighted to appear again at MAST, sharing songs which stretch the genre of vocal music- a ‘girl band’ like no other!
It Is I, Seagull
Opera singer and comedy writer Lucy Mellors attempts to create the show you never knew you needed, in a hilarious and brutally honest semi-autobiographical comedy work-in-progress about self-esteem, failure, joy and the first woman in space. Please note that 'It is I, Seagull' bears absolutely no relation to the famous play 'The Seagull', and you should not expect any late 19th century Russian realism.
Each show is 60 minutes.
