Synopsis

Mayflower Youth Theatre

Mayflower Youth Theatre is back for the Autumn Term and we can't wait to open our doors and welcome you into our building. We are thrilled to be running these in-person drama sessions for young people with a passion for theatre-making.

Each week participants will be inspired and guided as they develop their experience in theatre. Our programme gives young people the opportunity to be creative and express themselves using drama games, stage craft, improvisation, character and script work in a fun and supportive environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills and see new faces.

These sessions will take place at MAST Mayflower Studios.

Fee includes:

  • 10 weekly sessions with a variety of practitioners, from many different performance backgrounds.
  • Opportunities to see live theatre at either MAST Mayflower Studios or Mayflower Theatre.
  • Youth Membership for the academic year.
  • Chance to complete Arts Award.
  • Performance opportunities.
  • FREE Youth Theatre T-shirt.

The following 3 groups will be focusing on developing singing, acting and dancing skills:

Group 4 Academic years
7-9
Mondays
6pm - 7.30pm
Group 6 Academic years
10-11
Tuesdays
7.45pm - 9.30pm
Group 8 Academic years
12-13
Mondays
7.45pm - 9.30pm

The following 3 groups will be focusing on developing stage craft, improvisation, character and script work:

All sessions take place at MAST Mayflower Studios and are the perfect opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and take part in inspiring experiences.

For ages 11-18

Standard Pricing

Groups 4, 6 & 8 (Musical focus)
The fee for each term is £180 (bursaries are available - see below) and should either be paid in full before the start of term or in two instalments. 
Sibling Discount: £165
Bursary: £90

Groups 5, 7 & 9 (Drama focus)
The fee for each term is £120 (bursaries are available - see below) and should either be paid in full before the start of term or in two instalments.
Sibling Discount: £105
Bursary: £60

Paying by Instalments
1st instalment must be paid no later than 13 September 2021.
2nd instalment must be paid no later than 28 October 2021.

If you are paying in instalments you must contact us to confirm this.

You can still join during the term and the fee will be calculated accordingly.

Discounts

Bursaries
There are a limited number of bursaries available each term. These must be applied for on a termly basis and are not guaranteed for the whole year. These can be awarded on a financial or talent basis.

Applicants applying for a bursary should complete their application before term starting accompanied by the first instalment of £90 for groups 4,6 & 8 or £60 for groups 5,7 & 9. You will be notified by the beginning of term whether your application has been successful.
