Toe tappin’ tunes of love, loss, revenge & railroads from Southampton’s top notch Country music songsters.
This much loved local 7-piece outfit weaves together tunes from across the canon of American country music, from traditional Appalachian ditties to deep cuts from Country - and sometimes Western - legends.
One of Southampton’s only “sitting down” bands - porch style - The Chateau Bateau Band presents an evening of music, laughter and rocking country rhythms. If you especially love John Prine, Nanci Griffith, Gillian Welch, and The Roches - you’re in for a great time!
The band are excited to be playing at MAST for the first time tonight/ this November and are especially pleased to be sharing the evening with Polly Gone Wrong.
Polly Gone Wrong are three part acapella woman band. They sing original songs baked with folk and blues, layering elements of playful obscurity and often very close (and sometimes) crunchy harmonies. Lively, rhythmical and at times, positively bizarre they have been known to accessorise with a clog, mimmic a saw and occasionally whip out the odd dance routine or two ....
